Camì S.r.l is a society wich as been operating in the field of informatics for more than 10 years.

Founded in Turin in 1991 by Michele Grande, in 1998 the head office was transferred from Turin to Como.

Over the years the company has broadered its services to include not only commerce systems in general, but also applications specific to various fields.

Recently Camì included in its interests the internet services area, and takes part in an e-government project.

Using leading edge technology tools and products Camì develops its software solutions with a particular attention to quality and performance.

Camì collaborators uses Omnis Studio solution to develop, that product permits to our programs to run on various operating systems such as Microsoft Windows™, Red Hat™ Linux, Fedora Core™ Linux and AppleOS™.

Camì solutions support some of the most used and appreciated database engine available on market such as Sybase Adaptive Server™, Sybase Anywhere™ and Microsoft SQL Server 2000™.

Camì is a software solution that completely manages the databases of sales outlets or stores, from relaying data to the headquarters to information analysis.

Its product full cover all the aspects of management, sales and warehousing as follows:

• Casse: Point of sales management solution (front office) totally independent from the hardware and the operating system available on the point of sales terminal.

• Retail: Management solution for the large scale distribution, back and front office.

• Palmare: Articles survey software for hand held devices with integrated laser sensors.

• Coge: Accounting management software.

• DW: Warehouse management software with advanced statistics functionality.

• Web: Retail version for the web.

Camì has at its disposal collaborators who follow client relations. Some programming experts analyze specific problems of a given selling group, then work toward perfecting the management programs wich they then install on-site in the stores and guarantee 24 hours a day functioning.

Continente chain of hypermarkets, MegaFresco supermarkets, the Despar group, Euromercato hypermarkets (formerly GS, now Carrefour), MDO group, MAPES s.p.a. in Senna Comasco, Erg Petroli, Phonecar, Euronics, Saroch and Eurocash as follows:

• 1991-1999 Continente and Euromercato hypermarkets: management program for each departement (textile, footwear, tinned and fresh food)

• 1991-1997 MegaFresco supermarkets: back and front office management software

• 1994-2002 Despar group (Interspar,Despar,Eurospar): back and front office management for large scale distribution

• 2000-2002 Erg petroli: web site management program to aid sales evaluation for solutions with integrated bars, minimarket for direct sales and franchising.

Camì provides services wich are completely personalized and planned to fully meet its clients' needs.

As mentioned before Camì takes part in the Comonline e-government project providing online services to the citizens of Como and

surroundings towns.

The project was financed by the Minstery of Innovation with UE funds.

Camì used in this project (as required by the customer) the Oracle technology suite for web developing, consisting in Oracle 9i™ database engine, Oracle 10g™ application server, Oracle Workflow Engine™ and Oracle Portal™.

Camì solution for this project uses the power of J2EE™ architecture and was completely developed in Java™ using various open source external libraries.

The production platform runs on Red Hat™ Enterprise Linux.
